Job Description:

Pelican Sound has an immediate opening for a Tennis/Pickleball Pro Shop/Maintenance Attendant. This is part time/seasonal position (October-End of May). The successful candidate will receive competitive pay. The hours are strictly weekend hours from 6:30am-2:30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Responsibilities: Communicate with members and their guests in a courteous, friendly manner. Open and close the Pro Shop daily. Run all aspects of the Pro Shop to include but not limited to supply stocking and display appearance. Must keep Pro Shop neat and clean at all times. Answer the phone to schedule and confirm lessons and book court times. Perform retail sales using member accounts, credit cards and cash/checks. Be knowledgeable of Club activities, policies and hours. Understand Club operations in order to transfer calls and assist members with questions. Perform other duties as assigned. Assume all part of the maintenance of the court prior to getting in the pro shop. Skills/Experience Requirements High School diploma or GED and one year of related retail experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to multi-task and stay organized. Strong attention to detail. Strong communication and people skills. Ability to use Microsoft software programs, Chelsea Club Management program and tennis related programs is preferred. Must have flexible schedule during events/tournaments. Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Some knowledge of the game of tennis and related verbiage is preferred. Job Type: Part time seasonal
