Lee Health, a prominent health system in Southwest Florida, is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing biological specimens and conducting complex scientific tests to provide crucial data for diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases. Working within our state-of-the-art facilities, you will have the opportunity to leverage top-tier technology and contribute to our mission of enhancing community health. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological tests. Operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment used in quantitative or qualitative analysis. Enter data from analysis of medical tests and clinical results into computer for storage. Prepare specimens and samples for analysis, adhering to established standards and practices. Assist in the collection and documentation of test results, contributing to patient case management. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide clinical decision support and expertise. Engage in quality control procedures to maintain the accuracy and validity of test results. Proficient in using laboratory information systems (LIS) Ability to perform detailed and accurate laboratory tests Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of current medical technologies and methodologies Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified as a Medical Technologist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent body Valid state licensure as a Medical Technologist (if applicable to the state)
