You’ll Do As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you’ll play a
key role in outpatient therapy, sports medicine, and physical
rehabilitation. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical
Therapist, you’ll help patients recover from orthopaedic injuries,
post-surgical procedures, and musculoskeletal conditions.
Day-to-day responsibilities include: Providing individualized
patient treatments as outlined in the Physical Therapist’s plan of
care. Documenting each visit with treatment notes, progress
updates, and patient assessments. Instructing patients in exercise
programs, proper body mechanics, and safe use of assistive devices.
Guiding patients through gait training and mobility exercises.
Communicating patient status changes promptly to the supervising
Physical Therapist. Serving as a clinical instructor and mentor for
PTA students. Supporting the therapy team and clinic operations as
needed. About You We’re looking for a PTA who is passionate about
patient care, orthopaedics, and rehabilitation. Someone who thrives
in a fast-paced outpatient therapy setting and finds purpose in
helping patients get back to living their best lives. Required
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy
Assistant program. Active Florida PTA license. Current CPR
certification. Compassionate, patient-focused, and motivated to
help people achieve their rehab goals. Strong communication skills
and ability to work as part of a team. Preferred Experience (a
plus, not required): Outpatient orthopaedic or sports medicine
therapy experience. Familiarity with WebPT or other EMR systems.
