Seasonal Registered Nurse - Nights Free Standing ER/ Urgent Care Clinic - CJob Description

RN is responsible for coordinating and overseeing care delivered with an interdisciplinary approach, utilizing the nursing process which includes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Perform phlebotomy duties, basic laboratory procedures, wound cultures, Point of Care testing, EKGs, application of splints and other care interventions within scope of practice and direction of the practitioner. Directs and provides patient teaching activities. Maintains standards of professional nursing practice. Documentation of records is accurate, complete and complies with the policy and procedures.

This is not your typical RN position!

Seasonal RN position, 12 week contract.

ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte in partnership with Intuitive Health is proud to offer the Cape Coral community an ER/Urgent Care facility. This is the only Hybrid ED/Urgent care model in the area. The Free Standing ED/Urgent Care is conveniently located off U.S. 41 and less than 15 minutes off the interstate.

Requirements:

Experience: 1 year of Free Standing ER/Urgent Care experience and/or acute ED experience is preferred

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing

License: Valid Florida RN License. American Heart Associate BLS, ACLS, and PALS

POSITION PURPOSE

Participates in efforts to improve patient care through education, Quality and Safety initiatives and support of ShorePoint Health nursing Strategic Plan (Healthy Work Environment, clinical excellence, optimal patient outcomes). Provides leadership, direction and guidance to ancillary staff in the care of patients. Performs other duties as assigned.
