Job Description:

Point Charlotte Development s Assistant Project Manager supports the scheduling, coordination, and supervision of all project-related field operations. This includes project support from concept to completion to meet Department expectations and to maintain Corporate standards of quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering. Architecture, Construction or related field.
Certification Other: Technical experience and training related to job site safety (OSHA requirements)
Years of Experience: Minimum two (2) years of development, design, construction and field experience.

Preferred Requirements
Strong interpersonal and business communication skills.
Familiarity with personal computers and most software applications.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
Proficiency with spreadsheet and project tracking software.
Ability to communicate effectively with office and field personnel and establish and maintain productive relationships.
Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and Interpret blueprints to assist in the preparation of budgets and schedules for complex construction projects.
Ability to perform routine and complex calculations, assist with job costing and financial data analysis to facilitate proactive management.
Ability to take reasonable action and make sound business decisions in order to carry out the responsibilities of this position with the parameters of the departments established policies.
Ability to productively and tactfully handle difficult situations.
Ability to effectively prioritize and plan workload to meet deadlines. Consistently seeks better and more efficient ways to accomplish objectives.
Demonstrates sound business judgment, decision making, initiative, attendance and reliability.

Job Duties
Reports to VP of Development, Point Charlotte Development.
Assists with the coordination of information flow between project architects, engineers, and design consultants.
Documents meetings involving design team consultants and construction management staff.
Follows up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
Prepares necessary presentation materials for meetings.
Assist with implementation of project quality assurance and quality control procedures.
Assists with providing oversight of all construction inspections and material testing programs, keeps accurate records of all related correspondence and documentation.
Provides assistance with project permitting coordination with design consultants, third party review consultants, and the approving authorities, keeps accurate records of all permit related correspondence and documentation.
On a daily basis, works with project Construction Management staff to coordinate construction schedules, subcontractors, event changes, RFI logs, non-compliance issues, and project management software administration.
Provides assistance with warehouse management and inventory status.
Assists with providing project updates regarding construction progress, status, issues, and concerns about project.
Monitors project activities to maintain compliance with project specifications and requirements.
Coordinates the timely and accurate completion of all job paperwork and documentation. Reviews weekly/monthly reports for accuracy and completeness.
Assists with the department s safety program which includes ongoing training and interfacing with OSHA to ensure compliance.
Assists with the successful completion and close out of each project by overseeing warranty issues and monitoring the timely completion of punch list items.
Represents department at all times with professionalism and a commitment to quality.
Seeks out better and more efficient ways to accomplish company and project objectives.
Other duties as assigned.

Office/Field - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
